access
The most important part of our design is not that it is attractive and eye-catching, but that it includes as many people as possible.
accessibility
We recognise that young people have many different requirements for accessing information. We will always provide alternative formats to make information accessible for as many people as possible.
We recognise that some young people require face-to-face contact with a worker in order to understand information. In these cases, workers will meet with young people to go through information in detail.
Our project is constantly developing as we learn from Disabled Young People what makes information accessible. We will formally consult with young people at key stages of the project to ensure that our style evolves as our understanding and experience develops.
On all our communications we will give young people the opportunity to contact a worker if they are excluded by the format of a communication. | |
